Mathews Family

The Mathew’s Family traveled from all different states to visit family who lives in Oregon. While they were visiting they decided to pick a day for everyone to get together to document beautiful photos of their family. We love that they took the time to do this and that they value professional photography. Extended family photos are our favorite, and we love photographing all the different generations. It was lots of fun chasing the little kiddos around, and getting capturing this awesome family’s memories.

Photo location: Aurora Colony Vineyards & Winery

Thank you for choosing us as your photographers!

The Her Family

A few months ago we had the opportunity to photograph these beautiful families. We met at the historic Jenkin’s Estate located in Beaverton, Oregon. We love photographing extended family portraits. We strongly believe it’s important to get all the generations together to document memories that will last forever. This family wore a wonderful color palette, and knew how to pose! We all had so much fun!

Even if all the children were not cooperating, it was still great to capture the real/raw moments. After the session the family members came up to us and genuinely thanked us for taking the time to photograph their family. The siblings, and mother were in tears and gave us hugs. They had recently found out that their father was recently diagnosed with Cancer, and that they will value the photos with him forever. That sweet moment and kind words pulled at our heart strings, and help us remember how important our jobs as photographers are.

Here is a little bio about Elsy:

Elsy Dinvil was born in Jeremie, Haiti. She started cooking at an early age at her mother’s side. She loved playing with food, which led her to pursue trainings in the food industry. She graduated from Ecole Hôtelière d’Haiti, one of the most prestigious culinary schools in Haiti and later got a full scholarship to study Food Science Technology at Mount Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon. A six-year struggle with food allergies led her to a greater understanding of the mystery of food and its impact on the body. Her passion is to help orient people to eating fresh unprocessed food. Currently, she is focusing on developing her line of allergen-free Creole Me Up sauces and condiments. She holds various Haitian food pop ups during the year, cooks alongside renowned chefs in town, and teaches Haitian cooking classes around Portland, Oregon where she presently lives.

She had contacted us to take headshots for her, and we were honored! We had lots of fun walking around downtown Hillsboro, taking her photos. She’s not only a cook but she is a amazing clothing designer, she made her own dress!

We hope you enjoy the photos from this session. Elsy we are so proud of you!!
